His illustrious father, Late Shri Chimanbhai Patel twice served as the Chief Minister of the state of Gujarat and mother Dr. Urmila Patel is former Union Minister of state for power and still actively involved in the social welfare causes.
He is married to Dr. Viraj Patel, a leading Pediatrician and his two sons Vishwesh and Pranjal have both settled in their respective businesses having finished their Masters in Business Management.
